Between the color and the B&W versions, the color one is certainly more
impressive -- one can feel the water and the gentle ripples/waves in the foreground.
The B&W appears to be too heavy -- it may need a shaft of sun light on the
boat to make it stand out.

In both the versions, may be a few flying birds (in the left top portion of
the picture) can make them more fine art pieces -- since the top portion of
the photo is blank now with no details visible. Another alternative to
consider is to fill the distant hills with a screen of fog/mist or light
clouds.

I do not think of cropping out the distant hills since it would have
deprived the pic of its context and more importantly it is the wide open
space in the picture that gives the viewer ( or atleast to me) the feeling
of being in the open, at the water front, enjoying a peaceful, calm, serene
moment in time.

Just a few ideas -- not to criticize or belittle your work in any
way. Your color picture of the sunken houseboat is really enjoyable -- all
it needs extra probably is a little bit of cropping to make it a perfect
frame on one's desk for a pleasing, stress-relieving scenic display.

Krishna
