I use Porta for Q&D album generation and it does the same thing. I started out trying to re-mane all the references and, like you, discovered that would be a royal PIA. My solution was to create a folder on the web server for the album, its files and sub-folders, upload the album to that folder, then link to that folder from the main page. When you use the link, it will run the new index page in the folder. Does this all make sense? Here's my top folder -

Prague, austin and mom_bd86 are all sub-folders holding Porta generated albums

I'd rather keep them lower than that. My web space is 1/3 taken up and i'll have a lot of

I could take some of 2004 of by now i suppose.:-)

BTW loaded up and tried for about 1/2 hour last night the 15 day BreezeBrowser program.
I must say i'm impressed. Just playing with the HTML defaults gave me a lovely thumbnail
and view picture.Sharpness was nice and it seemed to lighten them up a bit.File sizes were about
35-40K.These are indoor flash shots i should add. I 'll try the custom settings and see what works
best, and also try to get the size down a few K'bits. The default web page is pleasing to look at and has
previous and next tabs. Water marks is so easy.<g>

Thanks for all the tips, and the link to BreezeBrowser. I'll work with it more tonight and
Thursday,but i think they have a sale.

One thing though. In my sample page it made an INDEX.HTML file. My main page is also named
INDEX. I can rename the new file, but then i would have to go into 240 IE files and change the hyper
ref name to the new name, one by one. Any quick fix for this.

Your files are too small (kb), I'b be aiming for approx 100 kb files of
640x480px. Depending on the detail level of the pic I typically get anywhere
from 60 kb to 100 kb files from Photoshop using "Save for the web" which works
like the software you describe in stripping superfluous info from the file.
