The advantage of the Tamron is that it will also give me an ulta
wide for my 35mm film bodies and that's cause of my dilemma. While
reviews of the Tamron abound I have found very little info on it
when used with a film body.

Thanks for the URL I would be interested in hearing from users of the
tamron especially those who own / have used both the tamron 17-35 di
and the pentax da16-45.
