My Tokina AT-X 2.6-2.8/28-70mm came back from repair yesterday. It still didin't focus at infinity at 28mm - and it had a new wierd sound when focussing. I took it apart and found a loose screw inside :-(. And I couldn't fix the focus. So, bought a brand new one at ebay (NIB: 250 USD + shipping). Not a lot of money for a very sharp and fast AF zoom lens. It may not be the best focal length for the *ist D (42-105mm), but it certainly is an excellent lens, which I have often missed since January. I'll have it in a week or so - all the way from California. I just hope the Danish tax authoryties skip this one - 'cause they will add annother 100 USD :-( Jens Bladt
