Went out today for a quick shoot hoping to catch something that I saw a couple of years ago and would have made a great photo op. My other motive was that I'm in denial about the cold months coming on. People posting 'spring' images only reminds me that our season's end isn't far off (-:
Anyway, I didn't see what I was after, but took the opportunity to fiddle about in the bush anyway.
The first shot is of a bit of a special plant around here. It's called a Flannel Flower and it really typifies the local sandstone ridge bush(fire)land. I'm sure that most SE Oz photogs have a bundle of photos of them (-:
Anyway, I decided to try out the idea of using my A* 300mm f/4 + tubes for some shots - I generally like tele flower shots for some reason, plus I guiltily underuse this lens (-:

The next one was just a quick snap with the Kiron 105/2.8 macro. It's a cute little lizard called the Coppertail Skink.
