Hi all - thanks for the feedback. A few mentioned the unusual sky. This was a bit of a bonus as I was just aiming to capture the colours of the ground formations in the late afternoon light. The unusual wispy clouds certainly enhanced the image - but it was a bit of a fluke.
John - yes, a tripod was used in late afternoon. Speed 1/30 sec. Mark R - hmmm, does have a certain pop star ring to it, I agree. David N - the geology does have that lunar landscape appearance. In this case the term 'lunette' refers to a cresent-shaped dune. If anyone is interested in further info about the area, a good reference is: http://www.abc.net.au/rn/features/walkpark/prog9.htm Cheers Brian +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Brian Walters Western Sydney, Australia
