It's reasonable quality glass but nothing to write home about. The motor, servo batteries, and consequently the all the gearing is in the lens, so it's bulky and feels funny in the hand. Quick manual focusing is out of the question as you will be turning (and feeling and hearing) all the gearing as you focus. The manual focus ring is very narrow with just a hint of knurl to keep your fingers from slipping. It really was designed only for the ME-F (identical to the ME-Super except for autofocus associated circuitry and need for two extra - total four button batteries). It was the first autofocus SLR ever marketed, so it has "historic" value.

Ok, I haven't been reading this thread, so please pardon my jumping in here, but has anyone ever seen and/or used this 35-70mm lens:

I don't know why I didn't bid more for it; I've always wanted a constant f2.8 zoom. What I'm wondering is if it was any good.
