I'll second that. If you use a courier service, you might as well go
collect it yourself in Calif. Plus, you can bet your bottom Strine dollar
that the courier will start slapping on brokerage fees and all sorts.


USPS is the only way i ever receive things shipped from the USA. If the
seller won't, then I walk away.

Last time I shipped something to Australia, it was a Moto Guzzi 850cc engine block, about 33lbs in a large box. Cost me something like US$175 for 3-5 day delivery service (Global Express Mail) with the US Postal Service, insured.

I doubt your Manfrotto photo gear will be anywhere near that size/weight to ship, a 10lb package would be less than $60 for 3-5 day service and no charge for $70 worth of insurance. You can calculate the postage by going to the US Postal Service pages at
