In that case, I apologize for the rant. I'm of the school of thought that if five questions get posted in five minutes, there probably was minimal effort at researching the topic prior to asking, and the questions aren't going to be all that well thought out. It drives *me* nuts to see exhuberance and enthusiasm get in the way of sensibility and regard for others' time.
But to your point, I probably derive my outlook from years on Usenet groups such as comp.lang.perl.misc, where the inquisitor is expected to have done his/her homework prior to coming to the boardroom. ;) I should just lighten up. :) This list is for fun, after all.
