Ignore what Rob said - it has been known to rain, hail, snow and then clear up and hit over 20 in Melbourne, and all on the same day!
Seriously, if you ever make it and I'm not yet pushing up daisies, you're welcome at my place!

Frank, you'll need to stop at least twice in Australia alone! We're a big

I can think of Perth, Sydney and Brisbane as being logical (forget
Melbourne, the weather's worse than Canada!)

I was just talking about ~getting~ there.

I plan to spend several month on Oz, once I get there. I'm brushing
up on my Strine, even as we speak, mate. <vbg>

My thinking is that I'll want to spend our winter down there, to take
advantage of your summer.

Bad weather in Melbourne? How cold does it get? I do own a pair of
snowshoes that I can bring if needs require. Really. I actually do
own snowshoes.
