Those of you who have followed this little saga will recall that back in February, my LX stopped firing the flash - sad, because ttl flash capability is one of the features of the LX I liked the most.
A trip to the repair shop, and the diagnosis was that a pair of contacts near the shutter mechanism needed replacing, but that said contacts were unavailable. A complaint to this list brought me an offer that I couldn't refuse, in terms of my acquisition of a working LX. It arrived today. It came with the prism with no hotshoe, but upon switching prisms with my old one, flash engagement is now a reality again. And, I have a second body (my old one) that does everything but flash. A few other goodies were thrown into the package, but I think I'll wait until later to say a bit more about those.
