Hi, I am new to the list, I have a K1000 and in a week wil be purchasing an MX.
As an avid polaroid enthusiast as well, i can tell you that film will never die out completely. There is still new packs of film being made for polaroid cameras they stopped making in the seventies. And it costs about the same as the new 600 series film used by contemporary Polaroids (about $2 a print) That's expensive, but then it's on par with the value Polaroid film has always held, I expect film, being vastly more common a photographic medium, will follow the same pattern....
