Thanks for the comments, everyone! I agree, I should have used a flash in this situation. Ah well, next time. :) I want to try Boris' suggestion of converting it to black & white. I tried it and it looked good but I want to try it when I have more time. I'm also going to try blurring the background a bit. The "mom" in question was pleased with the photo. :) Amita
