Hi!
Sorry for two in one night but the light and sky were just gorgeous today. At any one time you could see blue sky, turn 180 degrees and see jet black. Oddly all it did was sprinkle a bit.

Fascinating photo. Let me add to this thread a bit of discussion, may I?
In my photo club, folks are mostly film biased. They shoot film, they process it manually themselves, and then they actually scan it and eventually print. Quite a few folks send their work to various international competitions and get awards... So they think highly of themselves.
That would be a bit of a background.
Looking at the shot like this, they might say - oh but you have a "hole" in the right bottom part. "Hole" being totally white blown out region (or totally black one)... So, they would argue - you have a hole and so it is digital - it is not very good. On film, they would say, I could still obtain not fully white region...
That would be the "conflict".
I should say that the aforementioned hole does distract me somewhat. But the picture is very sound even with it.
So here comes my confused question:
Evidently under some conditions holes are permitted. Is there a way to know when and why?
Please don't take my longish comment as an attack or anything. It is just that I thought this picture would be excellent illustration to my confusion...
Boris
