I believe that explanation better describes what we mean by sharpness.
"Good quality prints, either wet lab or digitally produced, can be equally sharp."
If we're talking about prints from negatives: Agreed if the film scanner captures all the detail contained in the negative/slide and if the print is big enough to use all the detail. Those are pretty big ifs.
If we're talking about digital capture and print vs. film and wet print then there are probably a thousand ifs.
