I know that The West sent supplies to Russia. Canada sent tanks (I believe a smallish light tank called the Valentine, made in the Angus Railway Shops in Montreal was sent over to Russia by the hundreds). Other countries no doubt sent food and military supplies. Russia needed troops. And, she needed a second front to open. My point was simply that Russia was alone in it's fight against Germany on the Eastern front.
