i've only used the Pentax 2X-L, Pentax 1.7X AF, and the Sigma 2X APO AF. i 
wouldn't recommend either of the 2X extenders for images that will be 
printed larger than 8X10, but the 1.7X is a bit sharper and can stand 11x14 
if you are willing to let things go a little soft.

Most Outdoor pros that I am familar with won't reccommend or use a 2X 
converter due to the loss of 2 f stops and image degradation.
