i know just about all Nikons are, but they have been trying to bring them
back in-house to save money. i don't know what percentage of Canon's digital
P&S cameras are made by Sanyo, but i know that Canon has just broken ground
on a new P&S camera factory to be closer to the shipping docks and save
money on transportation costs. they have at least one other factory in Japan
for digital P&S cameras.

as well as my Pentax Optio 50 are all made by Sanyo.
