I guess I look at the "purpose" of a photograph as well as the meaning.  The
purpose and meaning of the first three is very clear.  The girl and the
rescued owl.  AWWWWWW isn't that sweet, she's taking care of a poor, abused
creature.  The story is VERY compelling and intersting.  I do not dispute
that.

But, taken in the context of purpose, the last shot is perfectly executed
and is WAY more than a "simple snap."  It's "purpose" is to show the girl
alone in a flattering way, emphasising her best characteristics.  In this
context, I find that the photogrpher met his goals.
