My mum is quite happy with a CD that she can flick though at her leisure using a DVD player on the TV, but she is relatively tech savvy too. My granny liked the fact that she could easily control the flow of the slide show when viewing digi pics on my 22" monitor too. Levis Morleys camera club presentation (that I mentioned a week or two ago) was actually all illustrated using a lap-top and digital projector, it looked fine from the rear of the room, unfortunately I didn't get close enough to really assess the quality but it certainly did the job.
