I prefer the first version, though I suppose the second may be truer to
the actual colours. With this kind of shot, which relies on the contrast

between the vivid colours of the subject (the girls and their
appurtenances) with the drab background, I think you can get away with
colours that may not be "real".

The fact that the first is warmer also adds I think to the happy,
nostalgic, even rose-tinted, feelings that the shot engenders.

Possibly a bit more contrast and saturation in the cool pic would swing
it
for me.
