I just made myself a little application for the OSX 10.4 (Tiger) that will rename all your files to 000001.jpg 000002.jpg etc it will also allow a prefix like MyDog000001.jpg MyDog0000002.jpg it makes a direct copy of the file changes it to lower case and exports it to the directory of your choice. Or in my case, across the network to a 250 gig external drive. I works from my I Book and the external drive is formatted FAT32.
