Nate was looking into attaching a rider to our apartment insurance to cover our cameras, but he found out that with our existing policy, they aren't covered if they aren't damaged outside the apartment. He did find one or two places that would cover the gear outside our home. I was wondering if any of you bother insuring your gear, and if so, which company you use.

I don't. For the amount the insurance costs I could buy a new set of gear every five years. That's at secondhand prices, of course. As the only chance of it all being stolen is at home and I am covered by house insurance there (which does cover use utside) and my travel insurance would get a good earbashing if it declined to pay up after an incident when travelling, I think I am pretty well covered.
