I've seen a dismantled MZ-5n and it is totally plastic. The metal parts in the 
MZ-S is screwed to metal. The mirror box is not part of the camera structure 
and the mount is bolted to metal. The mechanical parts in the camera is made of 
steel to the extent that even the lever holding built-in flash is made of 
steel. Sure, the eyepiece is of plastic but isn't that true for all slr's made 
today?
The MZ-S isn't remotely built like any other MZ-series cameras.
