I was in Cord & Midwest the other day and saw the new (at least I've never seen it before) 410/3275 head. It's a 3-pivot-point design and is geared. The gears have hand grips for hand control. They turn smoothly. Somewhat small to grip but still useful. There's also a "clutch" on each of the 3 gears to allow release for long-range movement. Finally, there's the quick-release plate. As the number suggests, it's the 3271 flat plate -- the same that mates to the 3270 flat base. It's pretty solidly built. $169 @ Midwest.
