Hi Dave 1 The SP2 installation usually works fine or fails immediately and I have not seen an activation reminder after a Microsoft update yet. But if some of your system files are corrupt.... sfc should take care for that.
2 I always recommend against updating the Norton Antivirus license over the internet. You better go to a local shop and buy an upgrade CD, then you have a media just in case for reinstallations. 3 for p r i v a t e use, you could use the free www.free-av.de (Personal-Antivirus), that's **good enough** IMHO and produces far less problems than some Norton Antivirus installations. Before you tell me, I know that Norton is more capable. 4 Investing in a image program like Norton Ghost or Acronis Trueimage would be a good thing, but you need at least a CD burner and even better 2 partitions or a second hd for frequent images onto your hard disk. back to Pentax topics now... greetings Markus >>-----Original Message----- >>From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >>Sent: Monday, May 09, 2005 2:42 PM >>To: [email protected] >>Subject: Re: OT:for Dave -XP Activation/problems >> >> >>Thanks again Markus. >> >>I have printed this out and wil look at it tonight. >> >>I had installed SP2 a few months ago, and BBPro 3 weeks ago. >>Unless a Windows automatic >>update >>recemtly downloaded screwed something up. >
