WRT the possible new purchase - any recommendations for a scanner to batch large numbers? I'm inclined to go for a not quite front line version of the Minolta multi, which I can get for about �700 + the batch feeder, but am open to persuasion otherwise.
If I were taking a job to scan 1000+ mounted transparencies, the *ONLY* scanners I'd look at are those that include an automated slide mount feeder that would do more than 4 at a time. Nikon has that for their higher end film scanners, I don't know about the other manufacturers.
Which model is that? I didn't know that Minolta had a unit with that kind of automation capacity, but then I haven't looked at scanners very much lately (ah, the joy of going 100% digital process... ;-).
