Q: How old is she?
Boris
A: About 6-1/2.
Q: You've got chickens in your front yard?
cheers, frank
A: Not a yard per se. We have an acre (about 0.4 ha) just north of Albuquerque. Chickens roam at will, roost in the trees at night. I like chickens, used to raise bantams. My neighbor has pea-fowl, which fly in to visit.
I have formerly raised sheep, goats, beef, pigs, guinea fowl, and one rabbit. I love animals, but all went in the freezer (except for the goats, which my wife kept for milk and showing). I wonder how pea-fowl taste?
I think sometimes I should either let the border collie have a litter, or get her a couple of lambs. Problem with the latter option is that in a few months I would want to put them in the freezer.
Thanks for the comments, everyone. Glad you enjoyed it.
Joe
