My 645n I purchased from a photographer who was going digital (Canon). He kept a 645n and then some for backup.

Well, he has yet to shoot film since the day he went digital.
He has approached me to see if I am interested in the Pentax gear he has. All the gear has not been used for quite a while but is in excellent condition as it was his backup gear.
The set up includes -
645n
smcp-FA 645 45-85mm F4.5
smcp-FA 645 80-160mm F4.5
220 insert (two each)
120 insert
AF-500FTZ
a couple of cords for the flash for use with a Quantum Battery
a 77mm polarizer
a handful of 120 rolls of film

He is asking $2200.

Can any of you talk me out of getting this?

$2200 is good travelling money.

Film is dead.

End of story.

Cheers, Cotty

Cotty,

Yes $2200 is good travelling money. But I gather I can get it together again for my next trip - which should not use that much as I plan to dive with friends in Puerto Rico.
I am still planning on getting across the pond in the fall though.

As for film being dead, I have no problem with that. As long as I can still procure it :-)

Thanks for trying to talk me out of it...
