Remember I said that if I bought another camera case, it would be a Pelican? Well, I did, and it was.
I've been looking for something a little smaller than my big Pelican, for those day's when I'm not carrying the 250-600. I eventually succumbed to temptation, and ordered a 1510 (officially a birthday present from the financial controller). It's quite capacious; if I leave out accessories and the like I can even get the A* 300/2.8 into it as well as all my regular gear (ist-D, 80-200, 28-105, 50mm, 19-35, flash, TCs & filters). Leave out the 300mm and include the 80-320 for casual use, and there's still plenty of room for the battery charger, and even a film body and film for special occasions.
