That's what I have to do as well. I don't find it difficult. It didn't
do any screwing around. The procedure is clearly outlined in the
printer manual. I keep the other black cartridge in a plastic bag when
not in use and swap them in and out on a regular basis. It does waste a
bit of ink, but it's hardly a fortune. I do look forward to the new
printer which swaps automatically, but I'm thankful that my current
printer has the ability to swap. My previous printer (a 1200) did not.
My blacks and shadow rendition are far superior with the 2200. It's
worth the effort. Or at least, I find it worth the effort.
