You're not the only one. It's a bit chunky, but my hands love it. Every control is precisely where I'd like it to be. The only reason I never bought one is that buying a reasonable kit of lenses for it is so expensive as to be ridiculous. When I priced it in 2000, an R8 body and four lenses in the focal lengths I'd want would cost over double what top of the line Nikon or Canon gear would, never mind Pentax.
