Hi Pentax lovers
some times ago I told you that I will take every tourist tour a friend of
mine offers at. www.bestofswitzerlandtours.ch
to the Swiss alps to take some photographs for her for her business
brochures and prospects.

I was asking here, what equipment I should carry and used the following
equipment on my first excursion to a chocolate factory of Munz in Flawil,
then up to Mt. Saentis and later to the city and state of Appenzell (8.5
hours) :

Pentax SFXn with Pentax zoom A35-70mm polarizer
Pentax P30 with the Pentax A24mm Pentax UV filter
Pentax AF280T
Monopod
Pentax A70-210mm zoom in the bag
I used 2 Superia ISO 200 and 2 ISO 100 and 1 ISO 400 film partly

Sadly we where a bit in a hurry all the time and I could not take
photographs inside the chocolate factory.
It was a wonderful sunny day but a bit hazy on Mt. Saentis. I was sitting
next to the driver in a Minibus and thanks to the big panorama front window,
I could take some shoots with the small zoom during the drive through the
states of Thurgau and , St. Gallen and Appenzell.

I did not use the 70-210mm zoom at all on this first trip and could have
left the monopod at home too. But I will take a
real tripod with me on the next excursion hoping to have some more time on
the mountain for a real snow walk and some panorama shots. I had some use
for the flash in the bright sunlight for people portraits. Maybe I will
exchange the small Pentax A35-70mm zoom for a 50mm and 28mm prime to gain
some more light with ISO 100 film on the next tour.

I will get the prints in 2-3 days and will post some shots.

A young Canon digital user from Asia sat next to mine in the bus busy taking
pictures of his girlfriend. I took some photos
of him with her in Appenzell and he really liked the small Pentax P30 and
its look totally ignoring the ugly SFXn :-)
It was a wonderful day being tourist in my lovely homeland.
greetings
Markus
