If you sand the mating surfaces and let the epoxy wrap around the corners a bit the joint should be plenty strong. For extra strength mix some micro fibers into the epoxy. Do not press the joint too tight squeezing all of the epoxy out. Some fast setting "5 minute" epoxies are quite week. Powell
