It's certainly a very attractive camera, but don't you think that's a little over the top? ;-)
Nope. What's prettier?
I don't know about "prettier", but there have been some classy looking 35mm SLRs over the years.
The Olympus OM3Ti was a beauty; there was a mechanical Contax which was very very nice; an Alpa 10D, in muted satin gold with deep red or green leather, was just stunning. And the classic, simple lines of the Nikon FM2n in black is always a winner in my opinion. The Nikon F3/T (late series in black) was another beauty.
The Pentax MX is right in there with these, to me. None of them are "prettier" than one another. I see cameras with my hands, not my eyes. In my hands: which one works best is what's important to me. Handling the MX now, it is much like the FM but just a smidge smaller top to bottom; they feel very much alike otherwise.
The most beautiful camera I've ever held is a Leica R8/9 ... every single control is in exactly the right place and the viewfinder is a marvel of clarity and brightness. I just wouldn't own one ... Leica R lenses are way way too expensive. The Pentax MZ-S has a lot of that same feel to me.
