Thanks Bill.
I picked up a pretty nice condition black MX body last week for $30. I probably wont get a chance to take any pictures with it until after I return from the UK in June, but I'm pretty tickled that it seems to function perfectly and is just used enough that I won't feel like I have a collectible to keep safe and sacred in a box... ;-)
The owner stopped using it after he dropped the 50/1.4 (?) lens on the floor, having removed it to dust out the body's mirror box. It must have hit a pebble or something as the front element was broken apart. Not worth even thinking of repairing, I just tossed it in the garbage.
I'll make a special pilgrimage to my freezer to defrost some film when I get back from my trip. I'm too busy for anything like that right now. ;-)

Godfrey, the MX is a very handy camera. It is about the size of most M
series bodies. The KX is the size of the Spotmatics. In fact it is a
Spotmatic with a better metering system and K mount. Some people prefer the
larger handfull of the KX. The K2 is interesting with AE metal shutter. I
have 'em all for sale if you are interested.
