At first I was going to say "Nay" but then I re-evaluated it. My nay was based on what looked like washed out color of the bird. Then I realized my mistake (after seeing hundreds of these guys, so brightly colored around here over the past few weeks). This is a female which lacks the "in-your-face-yellow" of the male.
So I give it a yea. Nicely captured. (a poorly captured image of a male shot 1 week ago: http://www.skofteland.net/displayimage.php?album=1&pos=9 highly cropped - this is about 20% of the total image - but it gives an idea of the breeding plumage) Christian ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kenneth Waller" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, May 19, 2005 7:15 PM Subject: PAW: SnowBird 1 > Check out - > > http://mypeoplepc.com/members/kwaller/offwallphoto/id2.html > > Taken late April/early May in my backyard with *istD, 600mm FA, > Not a great day lightwise. > I like the contrast between the spring nature of the bird and the winter > nature of the day. > > Comments - yeas/nays, what you like/don't like > > Thanks in advance > > Kenneth Waller > > >
