why? you don't care about color accuracy. you don't even really care how it looks on the monitor. what matters is the histogram and brightness values read off by your imaged editing/viewing program as you move your measurement point around. digital cameras are much more common than slide film users.

But is absolutely no use unless you print it or put it on a monitor, thereby introducing another level of variables. Slide film is the _only_ single process image producer in common use.
