You know what I'd really like in the next revision of the *istDS
firmware (and I suppose the *istD as well).
If you have the camera on, but the meter has turned itself off, that the
AE-L could turn the meter on again, and do the stop-down metering as
well. Have been using lots of M and K lenses, and I always forget to
first touch the shutter button, then press the AE-L, and then the
shutter button again to take the shot.
* (meter is off) press AE-L - d'oh. Nothing happens.
* Half-press shutter button
* Press AE-L again
* Fully press shutter button.
=> nice shot, but girl has moved out of frame :(
If AE-L turns the meter back on, it's just two button presses, which
even my addled reflexes can handle.
Anyway, love the K50/1.2 on the DS.
