someone here finally admitted (in the RAW
discussion)  that
if I got it right in camera, jpeg would be just as
good for interpolating
to my stock agency's requirements... as long as
the jpeg image was large
enough and hade enough detail.

so then I was less worried about hurring to
upgrade my software so
I could deal with raw. 

One of the things that has always bothered me
about digital photos I've
seen in print is the kind of fiddled-with look -
that "too perfect to
be real" stuff.  

I'm into heavy withdrawl symptoms from film and
dizzy with learning
the new stuff.

One thing I learned too late was the focus lock -
I totally blew some
lovely rainbow shots not knowing what i was doing.

I expect to be picking a lot of brains about
digital at the mountain 
next week -- next week! yikes! I ahve to
packnow...
