In that case I would suggest you'd take a look at the Tamron 28-75/2,8 XR Di lens. Around here in Europe I think it's around some 400+ euros. It's been considered real top class in every review I've come across and to me seems to be the obvious choice, unless you really want to spend those extra $800 US for the Pentax name. The Tamron is also considerably smaller and lighter I think.
