It's a sledge's little brother. Larger than any normal carpentry hammer, with a head shaped like an two-thirds scale sledgehammer head, and a handle that's less than a foot long. Basically, the most hammer that's any good in one hand to the average bloke. Used only for breaking things, and otherwise applying brute force.
