At one point (groan) they were called Dagmars. Or at least parts of them were.


Funny, with all the discussion of the English language on the other
thread, here in Canada, we've retained the English spellings for the
most part, rather than the American (incorrect) spellings.  So, we
spell colour, harbour, neighbours, centre, theatre, etc.

However, in most things technological, we use the American word (I
know that's has nothing to do with spelling, but it does have to do
with language).  So we take elevators rather than lifts up tall
buildings.  At GFM, if I have to leave my tent at night, I'll grab a
flashlight, not a torch (which over here would burn the tent down). Large vehicles on the highways are trucks, not lorries, and so on.
