Hello,

I've been reading this forum for a couple of weeks. I've come across it because I'm using Pentax camera's as a hobby-photographer. I own a Spotmatic F and an ES and a large number of M42 thread lenses, mostly from the Super-Multi-Coated series.

At this moment (but these perceptions typically evolve in time, as most of you will recognise), the main feature I think I'm missing is proper flash control. Appearantly none of the thread-mount Pentax camera's offer any advanced flash control.

Therefore, I have been watching LX's on ebay, but since my maximum budget is ~250$, chances of winning one (in working condition) are low.

When searching the net once again, the Super Program (Super A) came to my attention, which seems to do a good job of flash control, very similar to the LX, but much cheaper.

Could any of you Pentax-users comment on the Super Program? Some questions:

- are the flash units for the Super Program still easy to find?
- are they the same as for the LX?
- any chance of mounting a thread-mount lens on the Super Program and still enjoying TTL flash metering??? Otherwise, I will have to start buying K-mount lenses...

Are there other Pentax-camera's that I should consider and that are available on the second-hand market?

Thanks a lot for any information you can provide me with!!!

Groeten,

Vic Mortelmans
