Perhaps. And of course the 645D will accept 6x7 lenses as well. But how many pro MF Pentax users have already bailed? Most of the pros I've spoken to who were once shooting Pentax MF have either gone to Canon or the Hassy with a digital back. I wonder if most of the Pentax MF cameras are now in the hands of hobbyists??? Time will tell.

Most professional cameras in use are in the hands of hobbyists. When I was selling the stuff, both the Nikon and Canon reps told me that if they had to depend on professional photographers for their pro camera sales, they wouldn't bother making them. The Nikon rep estimated that something like 5% of F3 cameras were in the hands of pro photographers, the rest were owned by well heeled amateurs. Anyway, it's not about who is using the cameras, it's about who has half a dozen lenses sitting around.
That is the target market for a digital 645.
