Which raises a question. I also have the F version and I find it puzzling that it has the "A" contacts on the mount, even though it lacks the "A" position on the aperture ring.Does anybody know what function the contacts serve on this lens?
I am not certain this is relevant, but this lens reports its focal length correctly to the *istD...
