Actually Fred, in retrospect, if I had an *ist Ds, and wanted a nice street lens in a longer focal length, I wouldn't hesitate. I was *very* impressed when I saw Stan Halpin's black 77mm Ltd on his Ds. That was a beautiful combo. That would be my vote *in this instance*. Although if you asked me to choose between the two, it would have to be the 85.
