That's why I went with wax, leaving aside the fact that I've historically had very little luck with cyanoacrylates. On this lens, at least, pulling the rear plate off was trivial, which made putting in wax easy. I have a Pentax 4/50mm macro with the same setup. I'll have to see what that's like, next.
