I think it's this problem with XP: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;898456 To summarise, if you ask XP to format a memory card that is less than 2GB and currently formatted as FAT, then by (stupid) default it formats it as FAT32, which of course, the *istD doesn't understand. If you set the format in the dialog box to FAT, rather than FAT32, it works right. Formatting from the command line also works right. MS have a patch for the problem, which make XP re-format a FAT card as FAT, but this patch is isn't openly released yet, because they haven't finished testing it. -- PDML means I get more e-mail than spam!
