Yesterday my special order arrived from Pentax: the LL-60 divided matte focusing screen for the *ist D/DS.

Today I kept pestering my shop's tech to swap my screens for me, because I've been know to f**k up such things, but he was super busy.

Tonight I said to myself, "Aw, hell with it," and did it myself. Was very nervous, but now I can compose much more easily, and I can keep horizon lines straight! Yay!

Did you know these things are plastic? I wonder if that has anything to do with the slightly warm/yellowish cast the Pentax digitals seem to have in their viewfinders.
